Obituary of Catharine Charlotte James

JAMES- Catharine Charlotte James (nee Bull) passed away peacefully at Extendicare Nursing Home in Port Stanley on Monday, January 21, 2013 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late G.A. “Ted” James (1982). Survived by her children Michael (Jocelyne) James of Ottawa, Elizabeth (Marcel) Dassin of St. Thomas, Edith (Colin) Helsby of Ottawa, Harry (Edwina) James of St. Thomas and Mary Small of London; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Fred Bull. Catharine volunteered on the Hospital Board, enjoyed playing bridge and had several of her written articles published. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 11:00-12:00 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 12:00 pm. Interment in the Old St. Thomas Churchyard. If desired, donations to the Ladies Auxiliary-Extendicare Port Stanley, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
