Obituary of Lona Cleary

CLEARY, (nee Esseltine) Lona “Marie” of St. Thomas passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16th, 2012, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Raymond and dearly loved mother of Ronald (Linda) of Sarnia, Donald (Marsha) of St. Thomas, Dale (Ruth ) of St. Thomas, and Karen Zegers (Colin) of St. Thomas. Also survived by her sister Esther Parker of St. Thomas. Predeceased by sisters Irene, Alice and Ruby, and brothers Bob (Edwin), Reginald, and Archie (Charles). Dear grandmother of Jason, Jodi, Rianne, Kenzie, Shelby, Brodie, Tyler, Kaitlin, Kayla and 6 great-grandchildren. Marie was born in Yarmouth Township on November 9th 1933, daughter of the late Charles Morgan and Ardellas (Matthews) Esseltine. She was a retired nursing assistant with the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. She was a long-time member of Knox Presbyterian Church and the Evening Circle. Memorial Service to be held on Tuesday, August 21st at 1:00pm at Centre Street Baptist Church located at 28 Southwick Street, St. Thomas. A private interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Fellowship to follow at Knox Presbyterian Church 55 Hincks Street, St. Thomas. Remembrances may be made to St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital or Canadian Cancer Society. Memorial Service Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
