Obituary of Anna Martha Weaver

WEAVER - Anna Martha (nee Vokes) of Port Stanley passed away on May 31, 2012 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Glen Weaver. Anna is survived by her loving children Sonya (Marvin) Marks of Waterford, Glenda Jones of Woodstock, James Weaver of Port Stanley, Mark (Dolores) Weaver of Port Stanley, and Ross Weaver (Laura Burden) of Port Stanley. Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Victor (Joyce) Vokes of Simcoe, and Doug (Darlene) Vokes of Batchawana Bay. Predeceased by her brother Robert and his wife Betty Vokes, and two grandchildren - Jamie Weaver and Jason Marks. Anna enjoyed her career as a hairdresser working in her own salon at home, was active in the family business of Weaver Brothers Fisheries, and worked at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital - C.S.R. Unit for 18 years. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #410, and a member of Christ Church Anglican, Port Stanley. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11:00am. Interment in Aylmer Cemetery. If desired, donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
