Obituary of Louise Henderson

Obituary HENDERSON – Louise Henderson (nee Keillor) passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband Gordon Henderson (2010), Louise is survived by her children David Henderson, Paul Henderson both of St. Thomas and Elizabeth Johnstone (Jeff Boughner) of London; grandson Timothy Johnstone (Tammy Macdonald) and their daughter Layla of Kingston, step-grandchildren Stephanie Marshall, Melissa Marshall, and Kayla Congdon; several nieces and nephews; and her four-legged friend Razor. Predeceased by her parents Harvey and Erma Keillor; her brothers Alvin, Wells, Ron, Ralph and Paul Keillor, and her infant sister Stella-Ruth. Louise was born and raised in the Shedden/Dutton area and attended high school at St. Thomas Collegiate Institute. She then became a nurse and worked at Memorial Hospital, St. Thomas Elgin General and finished her career as an industrial nurse at Weatherhead and Bathurst. Louise volunteered her time as a scout leader, a counsellor at Rehoboth Home and various other organizations. At the age of 65, she graduated from London Bible Baptist College and Seminary with a Bachelor of Religious Education - Counselling minor, where she received the Elsie M. Lawson Award. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9pm, where the funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:30pm.
