Although I don't know any of Doug's family I am sending condolences to all of you on behalf of myself and Animal Aide, where Doug volunteered for quite some time. He was a great animal lover and a good friend. We will take his Sweet Pea back and hopefully find her a wonderful home. Thank You Doug for loving her these past few years. RIP

Lori, Danny, Sharon, it was so sad to hear of Doug's passing, and although we have not been in contact for a great many years, I can honestly say that I have relived our days, and time together many times since then. Doug, Dave Hill and I grew up together and shared so many good times from the back yard fires by your willow tree, to visits to Granny Millar's farm, and taking your Dad's old convertible on a few joy rides. Although our lives don't always cross paths our preferred memories will keep us going.
So to you sibs, know that Doug is in our memories and hearts, which hopefully adds comfort in this difficult time. Take care of your families, I do miss my days as a youth, and will never forget my friend Doug.

Sincere condolences to Doug’s family. He was a dear close friend growing up in Cumberland. We were a close knit group who had many a good times together! Like it often happens, we grow up and move on, so many of us lost contact over the years. How great is it that Facebook has given us the opportunity to recontect with these friends! I was fortunate that Doug reached out on Facebook and we were able to reminisce about those teenage years. Rest In Peace my dear friend.
Gone but never forgotten!

My deepest condolences to the family! Doug holds a special place in my heart as he was the first guy I ever dated. We had a short re-connection not long ago, that I will always be grateful for. Rest peacefully my dear friend!

I am saddened by the death of my dear brother, but also strengthened by the fact that his suffering has ended and he is at peace, now. Thank you Eva Harder, for your caring and compassion. You were a good friend and a good neighbour to Doug.
