Obituary of Ken Ferguson

Obituary FERGUSON - Lionel (Ken) of St. Thomas. It is with great sadness that we announce his sudden passing on Friday, October 26th,2018. Beloved husband and best friend of Faye Ferguson (nee. Benca). Son of the late John & Margaret Ferguson. Ken was the last living member of his family and was predeceased by brothers and sister-in laws, Samuel, William, Norman (Madeline), Ray (Phyllis) and sister Gertrude, and in-laws Mary Greasley (Tom), Bill Benson (Marion) and Eileen Dresser. He is survived by in-laws Mike & Pat Benson, Agnes & Alan Dalley, Anna Arblaster (Earl). He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Ken was born in Buffalo, N.Y. and the same year moved to Aldon, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years, stationed in Pudacuh, Kentucky, than shipped to Mannheim, Germany. He retired from Brass Craft (now Masco) where he was employed for over 35 years. Ken was a lifelong member of the Rotary Club of St. Thomas and twice a Paul Harris Fellow. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held at Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin St., St. Thomas, 519-631-0570 on Monday, November 12th at 12:00 noon. Relatives & friends will be received by the family an hour prior to service. Reception to follow service at the Funeral Home. Service will be celebrated by Rev. John Brown of Central United Church.
