Obituary of Myrtle Ruby Balint

Obituary BALINT- Myrtle Ruby (nee Sutherland) of St. Thomas and formerly Glencoe/Grand Bend passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the age of 81. Devoted wife of 64 years to Stanley Balint. Myrtle will be missed by her children David (Susan) Balint of Princeton, Margaret (Rick) Piché of Manitoulin Island, Carolynn (Mario) Villalobos of London, and Barbara (Doug) Springall of Shedden; by her grandchildren Jordan (Joanna) Balint, Luke Balint and Elizabeth Balint, Nathan (Leah) Piché and their children Clara and Charlotte, Matthew (Emily) Piché, Aimée (Tom) Anderson, Jonathan (Cheryl) Villalobos and their children Eli, Lincoln and Ellie, Daniel (Kim) Villalobos, and Tristan (Megan) Balint and their son Benji; by her siblings Winnie Clark and Ross (Cheryl) Sutherland; her sister-in-laws Marjorie Sutherland, Myrla Balint, and Marka Balint; and by her many beloved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Robert Sutherland. Myrtle was born in Lobo Township to the late William and Margaret Sutherland. She enjoyed working with several different philanthropic and charity organizations over the years involving children and those with disabilities. She was actively involved with church ministries involving missions and children's programs. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 pm & 7:00-9:00 pm, where the funeral will be held in the chapel on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:30 pm.
