Obituary of Leonardus Koornneef

Obituary KOORNNEEF - Leonardus “Leo” of St. Thomas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Julia Koornneef (nee. Matheson) and the late Brenda Koornneef (nee Cameron). Leo is survived by his children James Koornneef (Darlene), Karen Koornneef (Chris White) and Kenneth Koornneef (Lauren). Proud grandfather of Stacey, Christopher, Caitlyn and Amanda. Missed by siblings Len Koornneef (Lenie), Tena McDonald (Don), and John Koornneef (Judy). Leo is predeceased by his sisters Joanne Koornneef and Nellie Bolt (Ralph). Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Cremation has already taken place. There will be a private memorial gathering for the family at a later date. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
