Obituary of Jim Davis

DAVIS - James “Jim” Wayne of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at his residence, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the age of 69. Jim is survived by his loving wife Joan Davis (nee MacVicar); by his children Scott (Karen) Davis and their children Taylor and Madison of Brampton and Shelbi (Paul) Cudmore and their daughter Ava of Thamesville; by his siblings Bernice (Bill) Abell of Aylmer, Doreen (Jim) Coombs of St. Thomas, Lois Davis of St. Thomas, Robert (Lynda) Davis of Sarnia; by his brothers-in-law Doug (Penni) MacVicar of St. Thomas and Len (Mary) MacVicar of St. Thomas; and by several nieces and nephews. Jim was born in St. Thomas, son of the late Burton and Grace Davis. He retired from Ford Motor Company - Talbotville and was an avid fisherman, hunter and trapshooter, a member of the St. Thomas Gun Club, and a member and former Hunt Chairman of Buck Lake Camp. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. A private interment of ashes will be held on a later date. If desired, donations to the London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated.
