I would like to take some time to share what Charles meant to me:
As a younger person, time seemed plentiful to me, but as I grow older, it becomes more fleeting to me, and simpler things take on more importance. Having had Charles in my life helped shape me. In my own opinion, I have seldom met people who were as decent as Charles - it only seems to happen once in a blue moon. In my dealings with him, I found him to be easy-going, interesting, positive, honest, and helpful. Even though we were only technically acquaintances, he felt like more than that to me - he felt like my friend.
As a young and poor teenager, and friend of his son's (Robert), I was invited to share dinner with the Fox family so many times, I couldn't count them. Some might think that Charles would be resentful, or not like me being another mouth to feed with his hard-earned money, but he never said a negative thing about the situation to me. He was very generous and welcoming in that way. I fondly remember that time, and respect him for it.
Again, as most typical teenagers, I distinctly remember two negative incidents from poor choices I had made, and Charles, *without being asked*, helped me avoid trouble - all without judging me, or even expecting proper thanks. And that too is something I will never forget. He was humble and helpful.
Later in life, I had a serious problem, and it was the thought of "what would Charles do, if he were me, to correct it"? It was this thought of the great man that quickly turned things around, and resolved that problem positively. He literally helped me improve myself, without knowing it.
I look back, and really miss our little conversations we used to have. He never failed to catch my interest on any topic, and genuinely seemed interested in how I was doing. He was always so positive, helpful, and most importantly, again, so non-judgemental. He could also be quite humorous at times.
I am so very glad to have met and known him for the time we had, and mindful of just how generously helpful he had been to me during his life. Yes, I realize my parting words are long, but so are the absolutely positive words anyone could use to describe the unique Charles Fox.
For Robert Fox, family, and friends who helped him during his final days, I thank you all, also very much. When I got the news of his passing, my tears were falling on my cell phone as I read it. I have much sympathy for the pain, grief, and loss of such an honourable man and family member for you all.
Rest in gentle peace, Charles Fox,
Sincerely,
Thomas Vincent.

My deepest sympathy to Chuck's family and friends. I met Chuck through George. They spent a lot of time together with many other friends, walking at the arena, sipping coffee, telling stories at the coffee shop and going to places like Komoka for lunch, to name a few. Even after the lockdowns they would call and check on each other, usually 3 or 4 times a week. I am sure that they are sharing stories again now. Rest in peace Chuck.

My sincere condolences to Chuck’s family. Chuck and my dad, Jack Bell, were neighbors and friends for several years. They got together several times a week for a cup of tea and some conversation. He was great company for dad. They even spent a week together in the hospital in November. Chuck made it home but dad didn’t. He passed January 2nd and I’m sure he’s been getting ready to meet up with Chuck again. I’ll miss their stories and conversations. I’m so sorry for your family’s loss.

Hi Lynn, Robert, Paul, and Catherine. So sorry to hear about your Dad's passing.I have many good memories of your Dad when you lived on Honeysuckle. Your Dad made me feel welcome the first time I met him. He had a quick wit, and a great sense of humour. My memories are sitting around the pool, long chats with your Dad and Joanne, and sharing many laughs.I will be thinking of you and praying you find moments of peace aad comfort in your grief.

I was sorry to read of Chuck's passing this morning. I always liked Chuck, he was a very down to earth guy. Our friendship started back in the early 1970's, when Lynn and Roy were involved with Sing Out London. I looked after his cars for many years at Master Auto Care and when I changed careers to become a high school teacher, our paths would cross again while he was a driving instructor. My sincere condolences to all of his family. May the words of Psalm 46 bring a sense of peace to your minds and hearts in this season of grief.

Dear Rob, Paul, Catherine and Lynn,
Please know that many others share your loss. Chuck was a dear friend who had a fantastic wit and never once complained about his health challenges in recent years. I will miss his smile, his jokes, but most importantly his friendship.
Here is a picture of the two of us from last August.
With sincere condolences,
