My parents and I walked at the arena ...and would see John often...he would usually jokingly harrass me about something as we would walk the track but he was a terrific man... my condolences to Kathy and her family. Dear Kathy, Kim, Martha and Families:
I was shocked to read his obituary tonight. We think things and people will remain the same but someone else has a plan for each one of us. Our condolences to all of you.
Always a smile on his face and ready to tease; so many memories. Jack; as he was known when he came to the farm, worked in everything from tobacco (standing behind the fender of the tractor) with apples, pears, pepper squash in between. He joined the other men from the farm cutting wood west of Jaffa in the winter. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do or wouldn’t try.
He was also our oldest daughter’s babysitter. Yes, he could change a cloth diaper, but getting it back on took more skill than he had. He bundled her up and drove a quarter of a mile to my mother-in-law who completed the job.
My in-laws were the proudest couple in Elgin County the day Kathy and Jack got married. Jack’s parents couldn’t make the trip and my in-laws filled in for them.

Sincere condolences to the Bostwick family. Although we never knew John, we know his family in New Brunswick and send our thoughts and prayers to Peggy, Shirley and Sandra. Losing your brother is a very sad time in all of your lives. We are thinking about you during this time. Also, to Martha who we have met when she lived in New Brunswick - a very special young lady, who treated my quilting mum like a queen. Losing your Dad is not an easy thing. So sorry for your loss and condolences to your mother and sister.

I’m so very sorry for you families loss .Pops which is what I called John for as long as I can remember will hold a very special place in my heart. I met Pops as a very young girl bowling at park n bowl when I started grade 7 at homedale he told me to watch for his daughter Kim. We ended up in the same class and became best of friends from there you all welcomed me into your family. Condolences to Jack's family.
My parents were neighbours of the Bostwick's. Jack was the same age as my older brother Frank.I remember them hanging out some during their late teens or early twenties( I was 15 yrs younger so I don't remember much).
When Jack and Kathy would come home to Wickham to visit family,Jack would always drop in to say hello to my parents,Denton and Mamie.
