i was surprised to read of Bob's passing. He was a childhood friend in the Locke's area for many years. Great natural athlete but hardly had a nickel to play organized sports.. Saved all of his money from his paper route to put himself through Western .I last saw Bob in 1966 or 1967 by which time he was working in .Oshawa and and I was recently married, both having left St. Thomas. A quiet, polite and very well-liked fellow who was very close to his family.
On the coldest day of winter there was no better place to be to warm up and dry your gloves .than Mrs. Baker's kitchen stove.
At 80 Bob has earned his rest and my condolences go to his surviving relatives..
