Obituary of Donald A. Graham

Donald A. Graham July 24, 1926 – March 7, 2017. Peacefully at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 91st year. Don was born and raised on the family farm in Iona Station to the late James Graham and Winona McLachlin. Loving father of Ann (John McGonigle), Cary, Lynn (Iain Campbell), Leigh (Paul Loreto) and Michelle (Jennifer Reid) and devoted Papa to 12 grandchildren. Predeceased by his beloved wife Aura Moyes (2009) and son Blair (2006). Dad was the last of his generation in our family, having been predeceased by his brother Alex, sister Gertrude and twin brother Duncan, as well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He will also be missed by many loving nieces and nephews and life-long friends. He will be remembered by all for being a good and generous man. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, March 10th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Interment will be Saturday, March 11th at Springfield Cemetery at 11 am. Family and friends will be welcomed for a luncheon at the St. Thomas Seniors’ Centre, Chestnut Street, at 12 pm following the graveside service.
