Ian was a gentle soul and was always ready to lend a hand. As friends and neighbours for many years, he spent countless hours with us barbequing, philosophizing, gardening and imparting his knowledge about fixing stuff. He was reflective, an avid animal lover and a pretty good kid entertainer. Ian, you will be missed and we truly hope that you are at peace.

I only knew you from the dog park, but you were always so kind and up for a good chat. Wally and Winston miss you, as do myself and a lot of dog park regulars.

Ian was a great man who would give the shirt off his back. He took great pride in taking care of others. He never asked for anything - but was always greatful for time spent together mostly at the dog park. RIP Ian. Wally & Winston are doing ok, but they miss you!

Hello Ian: I want you to know it has been a pleasure to know you over the past year. Judging by the comments (below), there are people out there who sincerely have cared about you and your welfare. They see you as a very decent person, who at the end of the day have always wanted the "world be a friendly place".
