Obituary
BOWDEN, Ian Douglas - Brother, Uncle, Friend. Born January, 27, 1961 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Ian passed away at his home with his dogs Winston and Wally on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Predeceased by his parents originally from Montreal, Agnes (nee Blackwell) and Earl Bowden. Ian leaves behind his niece, nephew and brothers, Stuart, John and Ross as well as cousins, second cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews from Montreal, Toronto and BC. Ian was a Political Science Graduate of the University of Toronto. A complex yet thoughtful soul, he will not be forgotten. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). For those who wish to attend, a parish service, celebrating his life will take place at St. John’s Anglican Church, 20 Flora St., St. Thomas, on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. A private family service will be held in Montreal for immediate family and relatives where Ian will be interred. The family would like to extend thanks to the congregation and Canon Janet Lynall of St. John’s Anglican Church for their work in the community and surrounds of St. Thomas.
