We were saddened to hear of Ruth's passing. She was a wonderful person who served this community well with her service for helping keep it safe. I was in Block Parents with Ruth and we formed the program to give our children a safe refuge. She was a loving friend to all and I will miss her warm hugs. Our condolences to her two sons and other family.

Ruth was my neighbour on Fairview Ave for many years. She was such a caring, positive person with a great sense of humour. My condolences to your family.

My condolences to your family. I have had the pleasure of doing Ruth's nails over the past three years. We had some lovely visits and I will truly miss her sweet smile and her caring positive outlook.

Ruth was a mentor to me. When I lived at 187 Fairview Ave she lived just a few houses down the street. We would have coffee and laugh and watch her dogs play.
She was instrumental in helping me reasearch and pull together the Before and after School program in Elgin County before we gave it to the YWCA .
She also looked after the Block Parents at that time. in St Thoma.. Looking back none of us will ever know all the good she did because anything that needed doing she just did.
She was a wonderful friend way back then.. but we eventual moved to Oak Bluff Manitoba then back to Toronto.. and we lost touch.
But- A friend is forever-
..
