Obituary of Ruth McCully

McCULLY - Ruth Sharon of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the age of 75. Ruth is survived by her sons Michael (Stefanie) Connolly and Joseph Connolly both of New York; by her nephew David Hanton of London; by her faithful companion Pepe; and by her extended family Keith and Addelene Jones, Vickie Hutchin, Barbara Kenn, and the Faith Church community. She is predeceased by her sister Eunice Hanton. Ruth was born in St. Thomas, daughter of the late James and Ora McCully. She worked as a Probation Officer before becoming Program Director at the St. Thomas Seniors Centre. Visitation will be held at Faith Church 345 Fairview Ave., St. Thomas on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm, where the memorial service will be held in the chapel at 2:00 pm. A private interment of ashes will be held in South Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).
